After preparing a dissertation within one of the LOT-institutes, the author might wish to publish it within the LOT dissertation series. Any eligible author must first contact the director or dissertation coordinator of the LOT institute involved. The dissertation coordinators all are well informed about how to start and what information is needed. The director of the institute or dissertation coordinator may contact LOT. 1. If a member of a LOT-institute intends to prepare a volume for the LOT Dissertation Series the dissertation coordinator will contact LOT, LOT will send information regarding the procedures to the author. 2. If the author is a non-LOT graduate, under the supervision of a LOT promoter, he/she must request permission for publication in the LOT Dissertation Series through the director of the relevant LOT institute. The director notifies LOT, who will ask the LOT director to decide whether the manuscript is suitable for publication in the LOT dissertation series. 1. LOT has a Follow-Up Scheme. Please read it carefully and act in accordance with the instructions!CHECK OUT the FAQ list for all your questions on publishing your dissertation with LOT. 2. Contact the dissertation coordinator of your institute. He/she will contact LOT. This must be done at an early stage - at least 12 weeks before prospective delivery of the book by the publisher- one day before the “Pedel date”. You will get a message from LOT containing all information needed. Note: the Pedel date is most often 3 to 4 weeks before the graduation ceremony. 3. Answer the set of questions for a LOT dissertation. After LOT received your answers the procedure can be started. 4. LOT will calculate the deadlines and prepare the contract. 5. Put the deadlines in your calendar. Please note: these deadlines are the end dates. If your thesis is ready before the deadline and you have prepared everything sooner, please contact LOT. They might get everything ready sooner, so you will have the books earlier. The former LOT Occasional publications have ended in February 2010.Please Note: LOT only publishes Dissertations.
